Judges: THE HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE NAGESH BHEEMAPAKA
Parties : Crown Cricket Club Rep. by its Secretary Versus The Hyderabad Cricket Association & Another
Appearing Advocates : For the Petitioner: Gundaram Manoj Goud, Advocate. For the Respondents: ----------
Date of Judgment : 31-03-2026
Head Note :-
Subject
Judgment :-

1. The petitioner-Crown Cricket Club had submitted representations dated 06.03.2026 and 20.03.2026 to the respondents Hyderabad Cricket Club, to grant permission to the petitioner-club to participate in HCA league season 2026-27, and for recording the update of office bearers. However, no action has been taken on the said representations; hence, this writ petition.

2. Heard Mr. G. Manoj Goud, learned counsel for the petitioner; and Ms. Sreehitha, learned counsel representing Mr. V. Rajendar Rao, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent-HCA. Perused the record.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would essentially submit that the respondent-HCA may be directed to consider and pass appropriate orders on the representations, expeditiously.

4. Adverting to the submission made, learned Standing Counsel would submit that if the representations are still pending, the respondent-HCA would pass appropriate orders expeditiously.

5. Considering that the respondent has not yet passed orders on the representations made by the petitioner-club for participation in the HCA League Season 2026-27, this Court is not inclined to go into the merits of the case at this stage, and rather deems it appropriate to direct the respondent-HCA to pass appropriate orders on those representations.

6. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent-HCA to pass appropriate orders on the representations dated 06.03.2026 and 20.03.2026, expeditiously. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
