(Prayer: Contempt Petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, praying this Court to punish the Contemnors/Respondents for their deliberate and wilful disobedience of the order passed by this Court in W.P(MD)No. 21149 of 2025, dated 22.08.2025.)

1. This Contempt Petition has been filed alleging violation of the orders passed by this Court in W.P(MD)No.21149 of 2025, dated 22.08.2025, wherein, the Writ Petition was disposed of with certain directions to the authorities.

2. Mr.P.Thilak Kumar, learned Government pleader takes notice for the respondents 1 to 4 and 6, Mr.K.Gnanasekaran, learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side)takes notice for the fifth respondent and Mr.S.Sivanesan, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondents 7 and 8.

3. On 24.02.2026, when the Contempt petition came up for consideration, it is reported by the learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 and 6 that for violation of the bye-laws, registration of the society which is running the Recreation Club was cancelled. However, to verify whether FL2 license given to the Club to run the bar also is cancelled, we adjourn the matter today for reporting action taken against the Club pursuant to the cancellation of registration.

4. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, proceedings of the Commissioner of of Prohibition and Excise, dated 26.2.2026 is circulated to the Court, In the said proceedings, the Commissioner of Prohibition and Excise through the Assistant Commissioner of Excise, Theni, had sealed the bar run by the club and photographs of the sealed permit room is furnished.

5. Recording the above said compliance, the Contempt Petition is closed.
