(Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 1st Respondent with assistance of 2nd Respondent to survey petitioners lands measuring to an extent of 0.16.00 acres comprised in S.No.98/1 0.12.50 Acres comprised in S.No.99/5C, 0.3.50 Acres comprised in S.No.99/5F, 0.14.00 Acres comprised in S.No.99/6D 0.18.50 acres comprised in S.No.99/6F 0.50 Acres comprised in S.No.99/6H situated at Chinnakunnathoor Village, Upparapatti Post, Uthangarai Taluk, krishnagiri District and fix the boundaries to the land along with adequate police production)

1. This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.12.2025.

2. Mr.B.Karthikeyan, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice on behalf of the 1st respondent and Mr.Durai Gunasekaran, learned Government counsel, takes notice on behalf of the 2nd respondent.

3. By consent of the parties, the main petition is taken up for disposal in the stage of admission itself.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in this case, the petitioner filed a representation dated 18.12.2025 before the respondents, requesting them to survey and mark the boundaries of the subject land. However, the said representation was not at all considered by the respondents till date. Hence, this petition.

5. In reply, the learned counsel for the respondent would submit that the petitioner’s representation will be disposed of within a period of 8 weeks and hence, he requests this Court to pass appropriate orders.

6. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the respondent and also perused the entire materials available on record.

In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court directs the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 18.12.2025 and after issuing notice to all the concerned parties, including the adjacent land owners, dispose of the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

8. It is made clear that this order is passed only for the purpose of issuing a direction to the official respondent for conducting survey and laying boundary stones at the subject land. If there is any dispute with regard to the title/possession over the said property, the same has to be decided only by way of filing a suit before an appropriate Civil Court.

9. If any police protection is required at the time of conducting survey, the revenue officials are granted liberty to avail the same by approaching the 2nd respondent. In such case, the 2nd respondent shall provide all necessary protection to the revenue officials till the completion of survey at the subject land.

10. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No cost.
