1. Heard Mr. E. Mohammed Shafi, learned counsel for the petitioners.

2. The petition is filed seeking expeditious disposal of RCA No. 86 of 2024. The petitioners are the respondents in the said appeal. The appeal arises from the order dated 19th February 2024 passed in RCP No. 136 of 2017, which was instituted under Sections 11(2) and 11(3) of the Kerala Buildings (Lease and Rent Control) Act, 1965 before the Rent Control Court, Thalassery. The said RCP was filed along with RCP Nos. 137 and 138 of 2017.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the matter is presently posted to 31st July 2026 at the request of the appellants for filing a counter affidavit.

4. We request the learned Rent Control Appellate Authority (District Court), Thalassery, to dispose of RCA No. 86 of 2024, filed under Section 18 of the Act, as expeditiously as possible, without granting any adjournment to either parties unless such adjournment is found to be unavoidable.

5. The petition is accordingly disposed of. In view of the nature of this order, no notice is required to be served on the respondents. However, a copy of this order shall be communicated to the respondents.
