2026 DHC 5348,

Judgment :-

Judgment (Oral)

1. Petitioners seek quashing of cross FIRs No. 560/2023 (for offence under Section 323/341/325/452/34 IPC) & 13/2024 (for offence under Section 323/325/341/506/34 IPC) of Police Station Chhawala. Broadly speaking, these cross FIRs were registered as two groups clashed with each other using dandas.

2. Petitioners in both these cases seek adjournment as their counsel have not appeared due to strike by lawyers.

3. State has no objection to this petition. Statements of parties have already been recorded by the concerned Joint Registrar.

4. Both the parties are present in court today and are identified by IO/SI Chetan. I have spoken with both the parties in Hindi and it is stated by them that they have compromised all disputes with the each other. Both the parties submit that they do not wish to continue prosecution.

5. Having spoken with both the parties, I am satisfied that it would be in the interest of justice not to push the parties through full dress trial.

6. Therefore, both the petitions are allowed and FIRs No. 560/2023 (for offence under Section 323/341/325/452/34 IPC) & 13/2024 (for offence under Section 323/325/341/506/34 IPC) of Police Station Chhawala as well as proceedings arising out of the same are quashed.
