HOLDINGS (STAY OF EXECUTION PROCEEDINGS) (TAMIL NADU) AMENDMENT ACT, 1961 (Tamil Nadu Act 25 of 1961) Received the assent of the Governor on the 17th September 1961 and first published in the Fort St. George Gazette Extraordinary, dated 20th September 1961. An Act further to amend the Holdings (Stay of Execution Proceedings) Act, 1950, in its application to the Kanyakumari district. Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Holdings (Stay of Execution Proceedings) Act, 1950 (Travancore-Cochin Act VIII of 1950), in its application to the Kanyakumari district for the purpose hereinafter appearing; Be it enacted in the Twelfth year of the Republic of India as follows:- 1. Short title and extent. - This Act may be called the Holdings (Stay of Execution Proceedings) [Tamil Nadu] Amendment) Act, 1961. (2) It extends to the whole of the Kanyakumari District. 2. Amendment of section 4, Travancore-Cochin Act VIII of 1950. - In section 4 of the Holdings (Stay of Execution Proceedings) Act, 1950 (Travancore-Cochin Act VIII of 1950), for the words "eleven years and six months", the words "thirteen years and six months" shall be substituted. |
