DANGEROUS DRUGS (TAMIL NADU AMENDMENT) ACT, 1950

Received the assent of the President on the 16th September 1950 and first published in the Fort St. George Gazette on the 26th September 1950.
An Act further to amend the Dangerous Drugs Act, 1930 in its application to the [State of Tamil Nadu],
Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Dangerous Drugs Act, 1930 (Central Act II of 1930), in its application to the [State of Tamil Nadu] for the purpose hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted as follows:-
1. Short title and extent. - (1) This Act may be called the Dangerous Drugs [Tamil Nadu] Amendment Act, 1950.
(2) It extends to the whole of the [State of Tamil Nadu].
2. Amendment of sections 29 and 30. - In sections 29 and 30 of the Dangerous Drugs Act, 1930 (Central Act II of 1930), for the words "Excise Department", the words "Excise or Prohibition Department" shall be substituted.
