THE KARNATAKA APPROPRIATION (NO. 5) ACT, 2015 KARNATAKA ACT NO. 40 OF 2015 (First Published in the Karnataka Gazette Extra-ordinary on the Ninth day of December, 2015) (Received the assent of the Governor on the Eighth day of December, 2015) An Act to authorize payment and appropriation of certain further sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State of Karnataka for the Services of the Financial year 2015-16. Whereas it is expedient to authorize payment and appropriation of certain further sums from and out of the Consolidated fund of the State for the services of the Financial Year 2015-16. Be it enacted by the Karnataka State Legislature in the Sixty Sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows :- 1. Short Title : This Act may be called the Karnataka Appropriation (No.5) Act, 2015. 2. Issue of Rupees 678350.65 Lakhs out of the Consolidated Fund of the State of Karnataka for the Financial year 2015-16 : From and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State of Karnataka, there may be paid and applied sums not exceeding those specified in column 5 of the Schedule amounting in the aggregate to the sum of Six Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty Three Crore Fifty Lakhs and Sixty Five Thousand Rupees only towards defraying the several charges which will come in the course of payment during the Financial Year 2015-16 in respect of the services specified in column 2 of the Schedule. 3. Appropriation :- The sums authorized to be paid and applied from and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State by this Act shall be appropriated for the services and purposes expressed in the Schedule in relation to the said year.
