An Act further to amend the Roerich and Devikarani Roerich Estate (Acquisition and Transfer) Act, 1996.
Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Roerich and Devikarani Roerich Estate (Acquisition and Transfer) Act, 1996 (Karnataka Act 19 of 1996), for the purposes hereinafter appearing.
Be it enacted by the Karnataka State Legislature in the sixty-eighth year of the Republic of India as follows:-
1. Short title and commencement.– (1) This Act may be called the Roerich and Devikarani Roerich Estate (Acquisition and Transfer) (Amendment) Act, 2017.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
2. Amendment of Section 21.- In section 21 of the Roerich and Devikarani Roerich Estate (Acquisition and Transfer) Act, 1996, (Karnataka Act 19 of 1996) in sub-section(1), serial numbers 10, 11, 12 and 13 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted.
