An Act further to amend the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Act, 1964.
Whereas, it is expedient further to amend the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Act, 1964 (Karnataka Act 36 of 1964) for the purposes hereinafter appearing:
Be it enacted by the Karnataka State Legislature in the sixty-seventh year of the Republic of India as follows:-
1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage (second Amendment) Act, 2016.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
2. Amendment of section 15.- In the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Act, 1964 (Karnataka Act 36 of 1964) in section 15, in sub-section (2), for the proviso, the following shall be substituted, namely:-
“Provided that no scheme under clause (b) or (c) estimated to the cost as specified in column (2) of the Table below shall be carried out by the Board without approval of the Authority specified in column(3) thereof, namely:-
