THE KARNATAKA TRANSPARENCY IN PUBLICPROCUREMENTS (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2020

An Act further to amend the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements Act, 1999. Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements Act, 1999 (Karnataka Act 29 of 2000) for the purposes hereinafter appearing;
Be it enacted by the Karnataka State Legislature in the seventy first year of the Republic of India as follows:-
1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements (Amendment) Act, 2020. (2) It shall come into force at once.
2. Amendment of section 4.- In the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements Act, 1999 (Karnataka Act 29 of 2000) in section 4, in clause (e),-
(i) in sub-clause (i)for the words “construction works and consultancy services” the words “goods and services including construction works and consultancy services” shall be substituted; and
(ii) sub-clause (ii) shall be omitted.
