An Act to amend the Adichunchanagiri University Act, 2012.
Whereas it is expedient to amend the Adichunchanagiri University Act, 2012 (Karnataka Act 18 of 2013) for the purposes hereinafter appearing;
Be it enacted by the Karnataka State Legislature in the seventieth year of the Republic of India, as follows:-
1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Adichunchanagiri University (Amendment) Act, 2019.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
2. Amendment of section 23.- In section 23 of the Adichunchanagiri University Act, 2012 (Karnataka Act 18 of 2013), in sub-section (1),-
(1) in clause (vi), for the words "two persons”, the words "three persons" shall be substituted; and
(2) after clause (viii), the following shall be inserted, namely:- "(ix) Two academicians nominated by the Chancellor".
