THE KARNATAKA APPROPRIATION (No.4) ACT, 2022



(Received the assent of the Governor on the 18th day of January 2023)



An Act to authorize payment and appropriation of certain further sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State of Karnataka for the Services of the Financial year 2022-23.



Whereas it is expedient to authorize payment and appropriation of certain further sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State for the services of the financial year 2022-23.



Be it enacted by the Karnataka State Legislature in the Seventy third year of the Republic of India as follows:-



1. Short Title.- This Act may be called the Karnataka Appropriation (No.4) Act, 2022.



2. Issue of Rupees 800112.91 Lakhs out of the Consolidated Fund of the State of Karnataka for the Financial year 2022-23: From and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State of Karnataka, there may be paid and applied sums not exceeding those specified in column 5 of the Schedule amounting in the aggregate to the sum of Rupees Eight thousand one crore twelve lakhs and ninety one thousand towards defraying the several charges which will come in the course of payment during the Financial Year 2022-23 in respect of the services specified in column 2 of the schedule.



3. Appropriation.- The sums authorized to be paid and applied from and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State by this Act shall be appropriated for the services and purposes expressed in the Schedule in relation to the said year.
