STATEMENT OF OBJECTS AND REASONS
Act 01 of 2025:- This Bill is introduced in pursuance of the provisions of Article 205 (1) (a) of the Constitution of India to provide for the appropriation out of the Consolidated Fund of the State towards defraying the several charges which will come in the course of payment during the part of the Financial Year 2024-25.
Hence, the Bill.

An Act to authorize payment and appropriation of certain further sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State of Karnataka for the Services of the Financial year 2024-25
Whereas it is expedient to authorize payment and appropriation of certain further sums from and out of the Consolidated fund of the State for the services of the Financial year 2024-25
Be it enacted by the Karnataka State Legislature in the SEVENTY FIFTH Year of the republic of India as follows :-
1. Short Title.- This Act may be called the Karnataka Appropriation (No.5) Act, 2024
2. Issue of Rupees 531782.77 Lakhs out of the Consolidated Fund of the State of Karnataka for the Financial year 2024-25.- From and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State of Karnataka, there may be paid and applied sums not exceeding those specified in column 5 of the Schedule amounting in the aggregate to the sum of Rupees Five thousand three hundred and seventeen crore eighty two lakhs and seventy seven thousand towards defraying the several charges which will come in the course of payment during the Financial Year 2024-25 in respect of the services specified in column 2 of the schedule.
3. Appropriation .- The sums authorized to be paid and applied from and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State by this Act shall be appropriated for the services and purposes expressed in the Schedule in relation to the said year.
