THE INDIAN INSTITUTES OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY LAWS (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2020 NO. 28 OF 2020 [28th September,2020.] An Act further to amend the Indian Institutes of Information Technology Act, 2014 and to amend the Indian Institutes of Information Technology (Public-private Partnership) Act, 2017. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Seventy-first Year of the Republic of India as follows: CHAPTER I PRELIMINARY 1. Short title and commencement. (1) This Act may be called the Indian Institutes of Information Technology Laws (Amendment)Act, 2020. (2) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint. CHAPTER II AMENDMENT TO THE INDIAN INSTITUTES OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ACT, 2014 2. Amendment of section 41 of Act 30 of 2014. In the Indian Institutes of Information Technology Act, 2014, in section 41, in sub-section (3), for the word elected at both the places where they occur, the word nominated shall be substituted.
