THE INDIAN PARTNERSHIP (MADHYA PRADESH AMENDMENT) ACT, 1998

(M.P. ACT NO. 34 OF 1998)

Received the assent of the President on the 9th December, 1998; Assent first published in the "Madhya Pradesh Gazette (Extraordinary)" dated the 21st December, 1998.

An Act further to amend the Indian Partnership Act, 1932 in its application to the State of Madhya Pradesh.

Be it enacted by the Madhya Pradesh Legislature in the Forty- ninth Year of the Republic of India as follows :-

1. Short title. - This Act may be called the Indian Partnership (Madhya Pradesh Amendment) Act, 1998.

2. Amendment of Central Act 9 of 1932 in its application to the State of Madhya Pradesh. - The Indian Partnership Act, 1932 (No. 9 of 1932) (hereinafter referred to as the Principal Act), shall in its application to the State of Madhya Pradesh be amended in the manner hereinafter provided.

3. Substitution of Schedule I. - For Schedule-I of the Principal Act, the following Schedule shall be substituted, namely :-

Provided that the State Government may increase the rate subject to a maximum of five percent of the above rate in every two years.

Note. - In case where the applicant requires copies from the Registrar of Firms and Societies under Section 67 early i.e. within five working days, he shall file separate application along with double amount of fee and the Competent Authority shall grant Copies within five working days.
