COURT FEES (UTTAR PRADESH AMENDMENT) ACT, 1989

An Act further to amend the Court Fees Act, 1870, in its application to Uttar Pradesh
It is hereby enacted in the Fortieth Year of the Republic of India as follows ;
1. Short title, extent and commencement. - (1) This Act may be called the Court Fees (Uttar Pradesh Amendment) Act, 1989.
(2) It extends to the whole of Uttar Pradesh.
(3) It shall come into force on such [date] as the State Government may, by notification, appoint in this behalf.
2. Amendment of Schedule II of Act No. 7 of 1870. - In Schedule II to the Court Fees Act, 1870, as amended in its application to Uttar Pradesh, in Article 1 (Application or petition), in clause (f),-
(a) in sub-clause (i), for the words "Five rupees" the words "One hundred rupees" shall be substituted; and
(b) in sub-clause (ii), for the words "Ten rupees" the words "Two hundred rupees" shall be substituted. |
