MAHARASHTRA APPROPRIATION (VOTE ON ACCOUNT) ACT, 2003

An Act to provide for the withdrawal of certain sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State for the services of a part of the Financial Year 2003-04. WHEREAS it is expedient to provide for the withdrawal of certain sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State for the services of a part of the financial year 2003-04; it is hereby enacted in the Fifty-fourth Year of the Republic of India as follows

SECTION 01: SHORT TITLE

This Act may be called the Maharashtra Appropriation (Vote on Account) Act, 2003.

SECTION 02: WITHDRAWAL OF RS. 1,36,94,06,80,000/- OUT OF THE CONSOLIDATED FUND OF THE STATE FOR THE FINANCIAL YEAR 2003-2004

From and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State, there may be paid and applied sums not exceeding those specified in column (4) of the schedule hereto annexed amounting in aggregate to the sum thirteen thousand six hundred ninety-four crores, six lakhs, eighty thousand rupees towards defraying the several charges which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the Thirty-first day of March 2004, in respect of the services and purposes specified in column (2) of the schedule.

SECTION 03: APPROPRIATION

The sums authorised to be paid and applied from and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State by this Act shall be appropriated for the services and purposes expressed in the schedule in relation to the year ending on the Thirty-first day of March 2004.
