BOMBAY TALUQDARI TENURE ABOLITION (GUJARAT AMENDMENT ) ACT, 1962

(First published, after having received the assent of the President in the “Gujarat Government Gazette” on the 26th April 1962.)
An Act to amend the Bombay Taluqdari Tenure Abolition Act, 1949.
It is here by enacted in the Thirteenth year of the He public of India as follows:-
Short title and commencement.
1. (1) This Act may be called the Bombay Taluqdari Tenure Abolition (Gujarat Amendment ) Act, 1962.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
Amendment of section 5A of Bom. LXII of 1949.
2. In section 5A of the Bombay Taluqdari Tenure Abolition Act, 1949, in sub-section (2) for the words “ seven years ” the words “ eight years shall be sub-stituted.
Repeal of Guj. Ord No. 1 of 1962.
Guj. Ord. No. 1 of 1962.
3. The Bombay Taluqdari Tenure Abolition (Gujarat Amendment) Ordinance, 1962 is hereby repealed and the provisions of sections 7 and 25 of the Bombay General Clauses Act, 1904 shall apply to such repeal as if that Ordinance were an enactment.

An Act to amend the Bombay Taluqdari Tenure Abolition Act, 1949.
It is hereby enacted in the Fourteenth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Short title and commencement.
1. (1) This Act may be called the Bombay Taluqdari Tenure Abolition (Gujarat Amendment) Act, 1963.
(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on 28th February 1963.
Amendment of section 5 A of Bom. LXII of 1949.
2. In section 5 A of the Bombay Taluqdari Tenure Abolition Act, 1949, in sub-section (2), for the words “eight years” the words “ten years” shall be substituted.
GUJARAT ACT NO. 21 OF 1966.

An Act further to amend the Bombay Taluqdari Tenure Abolition Act, 1949 for certain purposes.
It is hereby enacted in the Seventeenth Year of the Republic of India as follows:—
Short title.
1. This Act may be called the Bombay Taluqdari Tenure Abolition (Amendment) Act, 1966.
Amendment of section 5A of Bom. LXII of 1949.
2. In section 5A of the Bombay Taluqdari Tenure Abolition Act, 1949, after sub-section (2A), the following sub-section shall be inserted, namely:—
“(2B) Notwithstanding the expiry of the period specified in sub-section (2A), the right conferred under sub-section (1) may be exercised before the end of March, 1908”.

An Act further to amend the Bombay Taluqdari Tennre Abolition Act, 1949.
It is hereby enacted in the Nineteenth Year of the Republic of India as follows:—
Short title,
1. This Act may be called the Bombay Taluqdari Tenure Abolition (Gujarat Amendment) Act, 1968.
Amendment of section 5A of Bom. LXXII of 1949.
2. In section 5A of the Bombay Taluqdari Tenure Abolition Act, 1949, after sub-section (2B), the following sub-section shall be inserted, namely: —
Bom. LXII of 1949.
“(2C) Notwithstanding the expiry of the period specified in sub-section (2B), the right conferred under sub-section (1) may be exercised before the end of March, 1969.”.
Repeal of Guj. Ord. No. 1of 1968.
3. The Bombay Taluqdari Tenure Abolition (Amendment) Ordinance, 1968 is hereby repealed and the provisions of sections 7 and 25 of the Bombay General Causes Act, 1904 shall apply to such repeal as if that Ordinance were an enactment. |
