GUJARAT LOCAL FUND AUDIT (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1968
GUJARAT ACT NO. 7 OF 1968.
(First published after having received the assent of the Governor in the “Gujarat Government Gazette” on the 22nd March 1968.)
An Act further to amend the Gujarat Local Fund Audit Act, 1963.
It is hereby enacted in the Nineteenth Year of the Republic of India as follows:—
Short title.
1. This Act may be called the Gujarat Local Fund Audit (Amendment) Act, 1968.
Amendment of section 2 of Guj. XLIX of 1963
Guj. XLIX of 1963.
2. In section 2 of the Gujarat Local Fund Audit Act, 1963,—
(i) in clause (b), after the words “the duties of such local authority” the following shall be inserted, namely:—
“and where such local authority is a gram panchayat, the expression “Chairman” includes the Sarpanch of such panchayat”;
(ii) in clause (d), for the words beginning with the words “and includes” and ending with the words “State Government” the following shall be substituted, namely:-
“and includes any officer appointed by the State Government to perform all or any of the functions of the Examiner under this Act generally or in respect of any class of local authorities”. |
