SAURASHTRA GHARKHED, TENANCY SETTLEMENT AND AGRICULTURAL LANDS (GUJARAT AMENDMENT) ACT, 1972

An Act further to amend the Saurashtra Gharkhed, Tenancy Settlement and Agricultural Lands Ordinance, 1949.
It is hereby enacted in the Twenty-third Year of the Republic of India as follows:—
Short title.
1. This Act may be called the Saurashtra Gharkhed, Tenancy Settlement and Agricultural Lands (Gujarat Amendment) Act, 1972.

2. In section 54 of the Saurashtra Gharkhed, Tenancy Settlement and Agricultural Lands Ordinance, 1949, in sub-section (1), after the existing proviso, the following further proviso shall be namely:—
“Provided further that no such permission shall be granted, where land is being sold to a person who is not an “agriculturist for agricultural purpose, if the annual income of such person from other sources exceeds five thousand rupee.” |
