GUJARAT TRIBAL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1989
GUJARAT ACT NO. 1 OF 1989.
(First published, after having received the assent of the Governor in the “Gujarat Government Gazette” on the 18th February, 1989).
An Act further to amend the Gujarat Tribal Development Corporation Act, 1972. further to amend the Gujarat Tribal Development Corporation Act, 1972.
Short title and commencement.
1. (1) This Act pay be called the Gujarat Tribal Development Corporation (Amendment) Act, 1989.
(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 15th October, 1988.
Amendment of section 5 of Guj. of 1972.

2. In the Gujarat Tribal Development Corporation Act, 1972 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Act), in Section 5, in sub-section (1), for the words “five crores of rupees”, where they occur at three places, the, words “fifteen crores of rupees” shall be substituted.
Amendment of section 7 of Guj. 5 of 1972.
3. In the principal Act, in section 7, in sub-section (4), in clause (a),—
(1) in sub-clause (i) for the letters and figures "Rs. 1000”, the letters and figures “Rs. 2500 shall be substituted;
(2) after sub-clause (vi), the following sub-clauses shall be inserted, namely: —
“(VII) There shall be paid to the Vice-Chairman such honorarium not exceeding Rs. 1,500 per month as may be prescribed.
(viii) The provisions of sub-clauses (ii) to (vi) shall mutatis mutandis apply in relation to the Vice-Chairman as they apply in relation to the Chairman.”
Repeal and savings.

4. (1) The Gujarat Tribal Development Corporation (Amendment) Ordinance, 1988 is hereby repealed.
(2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the principal Act as amended by the said Ordinance shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the principal Act as amended by this Act. |
