THE TAMIL NADU FARMERS' MANAGEMENT OF IRRIGATION SYSTEM (AMENDMENTS ) ACT, 2009

An Act to amend the Tamil Nadu Farmers’ Management of Irrigation Systems Act, 2000.
Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Tamil Nadu in the Sixtieth Year of the Republic of India as follows:—
Short title and commencement
1. (1) This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu Farmers’ Management of Irrigation Systems (Amendment) Act, 2009.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
Tamil Nadu Act 7 of 2001.
Amendment of section 5
2. In section 5 of the Tamil Nadu Farmers’ Management of Irrigation Systems Act, 2000, in sub-section (5), for the expression “five years”, the expression “five years and six months” shall be substituted. |
