TAMIL NADU CULTIVATING TENANTS ARREARS OF RENT (RELIEF) AMENDMENT ACT, 1991
ACT No.16 OF 1991
An Act to amend the Tamil Nadu Cultivating Tenants Arrears of Rent (Relief) Act, 1990.
Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Tamil Nadu in the Forty-first Year of the Republic of India as follows:
Short title and commencement
1. (1) This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu Cultivating Arrears of Rent (Relief) Amendment Act, 1991.
(2) It than be deemed to have come into force on the 10th day October 1990.
Amendment of section 4
2. In section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Cultivating Tenants Arrears of Rent (Relief) Act, 1990 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), in sub-section (1), for the expression “two months”, the expression “four months” shall be substituted.
Amendment of section 5
3. In section 5 of the principal Act, in sub-section (5), in clause (ii), for the expression “one-fourth of the arrears of rent”, the expression “any such arrears of rent” shall be substituted.
Repeal and saving
4. (1) The Tamil Nadu Cultivating Tenants Arrears of Rent (Relief) Amendment Ordinance, 1990, is hereby repealed.
(2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the principal Act, as amended by the said Ordinance, shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the principal Act, as amended by this Act.

An. Act further to amend the Tamil Nadu Cultivating Tenants Arrears of Rent (Relief) Act, 1990.
Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Tamil Nadu in the Forty-second Year of the Republic of India as follows:
Short title and commencement
1. (1) This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu Cultivating Tenants Arrears of Rent (Relief) Second Amendment Act, 1991.
(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 30th day of April 1991.
Amendment of section 5
2. In section 5 of the Tamil Nadu Cultivating Tenants Arrears of Rent (Relief) Acct, 1990 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), in sub-section (3), for the expression “thirty days”, the expression “four months’ shall be substituted.
Amendment of section 7
3. In section 7 of the principal Act, in sub-section (3), for the expression “thirty days”, the expression “four months” shall be substituted.
Repeal and saving
4. (1) The Tamil Nadu Cultivating Tenants Arrears of Rent (Relief) Second Amendment Ordinance, 1991, is hereby repealed.
(2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the principal Act, as amended by the said Ordinance, shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the principal Act, as amended by this Act. |
