An Act further to amend the Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Sadasya Vetan, Bhatta Tatha Pension Adhiniyam, 1972.
Be it enacted by the Madhya Pradesh Legislature in the Sixty-third year of the Republic of India as follow:—
1. Short title and commencement.—(1) This Act may be called the Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Sadasya Vetan, Bhatta Tatha Pension (Dwitiya Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam,2012.
(2) It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the official Gazette.
2. Amendment of Section 6-A.—In Section 6-A of the Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Sadasya Vetan, Bhatta Tatha Pension Adhiniyarn, 1972 (No. 7 of 1973), for sub-section (1), the following sub-section shall be substituted, namely:—
“(1) With effect from the commencement of the Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Sadasya Vetan, Bhatta Tatha Pension (Dwitiya Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 2012, there shall be paid a pension of fifteen thousand rupees per mensem to every person who has served for any period as a member of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly:
Provided that where a person has served as a member of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly for a period exceeding five years, there shall be paid to him an additional pension of five hundred rupees per mensem for every year in excess of five years, and the period of six months or more of the last year of the term of any member shall be deemed whole year for the purpose of earning additional pension.” |
