THE NATIONAL HIGHWAYS AUTHORITY OF INDIA (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2013 NO. 19 OF 2013 [10th September, 2013.] An Act further to amend the National Highways Authority of India Act, 1988. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Sixty-fourth Year of the Republic of India as follows:— Short title. 1. This Act may be called the National Highways Authority of India (Amendment) Act, 2013. Amendment of section 3. 2. In section 3 of the National Highways Authority of India Act, 1988, for sub-section (3), the following sub-section shall be substituted, namely:— "(3) The Authority shall consist of— (a) a Chairman; (b) not more than six full-time members; and (c) not more than six part-time members, to be appointed by the Central Government by notification in the Official Gazette: Provided that the Central Government shall, while appointing the part-time members, ensure that at least two of them are non-Government professionals having knowledge or experience in financial management, transportation planning or any other relevant discipline. |
