Short title:- 1. This Act may be called the Gujarat Housing Board (Amendment) Act, 1979. Amendment of section 2 of Gujarat XXVIII of 1961:- 2. In the Gujarat Housing Board Act, 1961, in section 2, for clause (22A), the following clause shall be substituted, namely:- “(22A) “urban area” means, an area which for the time being is within the limits of- Bombay LIX of 1949:- (1) a city constituted under the Bombay Provincial Municipal Corporations Act, 1949 along with a peripheral area of five kilometers, or Gujarat 34 of 1964:- (2) a municipal borough constituted or deemed to be constituted under the Gujarat Municipalities Act, 1963 along with a peripheral area of five kilometers, or Gujarat 34 of 1964:- (3) a notified area constituted under the Gujarat Municipalities Act, 1963 along with a peripheral area of five kilometers, or Gujarat VI of 1962:- (4) a nagar constituted under the Gujarat Panchayats Act,1961 along with aperipheral area of three kilometers, or President’s Act No.27 of 1976:- (5) a development area or an urban development area declared under section 3 or 22 of the Gujarat Town Planning and Urban Development Act, 1976.” |
