Short title and commencement:- 1. (1) This Act may be called the Gujarat Housing Board (Amendment) Act, 1985. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st December, 1982. Amendment of section 7 of Gujarat XXVIII of 1961:- 2. In the Gujarat Housing Board Act, 1961, in section 7, after sub-section (1), the following sub-section shall be inserted, namely:_ “(1-A) For the purpose of clause (a) of sub-section (1), a person shall not be deemed to hold office or place of profit under the Board by reason only that he is a Housing Commissioner.” Repeal:- 3. The Gujarat Housing Board (Amendment (Second) Ordinance, 1985 is hereby repealed. |
