ACT 34 OF 1969



                          THE PAYMENT OF WAGES (KERALA AMENDMENT) ACT, 1969[1]

An Act to amend the Payment of Wages Act, 1936, in its application to the State of Kerala.

Preamble.— WHEREAS It is expedient to amend th e payment of Wages Act, 1936, in its application to the State of Kerala, for the purpose hereinafter appearing;

Be it enacted in the Twentieth Year of the Republic of India as follows:—

 1. Short title, extent and commencement.— (1) This Act may be called the Payment of Wages (Kerala Amendment) Act, 1969.

              (2) It extends the whole of the State of Kerala.

             (3) It shall come into force at once.

 2. Amendment of Section 7.—In section 7 of the Payment of Wages Act, 1936 (Central Act 4 of 1936), in sub-section (2), after clause (o), the following clause shall be inserted, namely:—

            "(p) deductions for repayment to the State Government of the amount of financial aid granted under the Kerala Financial Aid (to the Discharged or Dismissed Labour) Rules, 1958.".
