THE ORISSA STATE COMMISSION FOR BACKWARD CLASSES (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1994

An act to amend the Orissa State Commission for Backward Classes act, 1993.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Orissa in the Forty-fifth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
1. Short title.
This Act may be called the Orissa State Commission for Backward Classes (Amendment) Act, 1994.
2. Amendment of section 3.
In section 3 of the Orissa State Commission for Backward Classes Act, 1993 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), in sub-section (2), for clause (d), the following clause shall be substituted, namely;—
"(d) a member-Secretary, who is or has been an officer of the State Government not below the rank of a Joint Secretary to the Government of Orissa.”
3. Amendment of section 13.
In section 13 of the principal Act,—
(i) in sub-section (1) the words and comma "in consultation with the Accountant-General, Orissa" appearing at the end shall be omitted;
(ii) for sub-section (2), the following sub-section shall be substituted, namely:—
“(2) The Accounts of the Commission shall be subject to audit under the Orissa Local Fund Audit Act, 1948;” and
(iii) sub-section (3) shall be deleted. |
