PREAMBLE
An Act to amend the Jammu and Kashmir Accountability Commission Act, 2002.
Be it enacted by the Jammu and Kashmir State Legislature in the Fifty-sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows: —
Section 1 - Short title and commencement
(1) This Act may be called the Jammu and Kashmir Accountability Commission (Amendment) Act, 2006.
(2) It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Government Gazette.
Section 2 - Amendment of section 13, Act No. XXXVIII of 2002
In sub-section (1) of section 13 of Jammu and Kashmir Accountability Commission Act, 2002, for the words "the competent authority shall furnish its comments" the words "the competent authority may furnish its comments, if any", shall be substituted. |
