THE INDIRA GANDHI KRISHI VISHWAVIDHYALAYA (SANSHODHAN) ACT, 2010

PREAMBLE
An Act further to amend the Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidhyalaya (Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 1987.
Be it enacted by the Chhattisgarh Legislature, in the Fifty-ninth Year of the Republic of India, as follows:--
Section 1 - Short title, extent and Commencement
(i) This Act may be called the Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidhyalaya (Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 2008.
(ii) It extends to the whole of Chhattisgarh.
(iii) It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
Section 2 - Amendment of Section 18
In section 18 of the Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidhyalaya Adhiniyam, 1987 (No. 20 of 1987) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act) for the words "He shall be appointed by the Vice-chancellor with the prior approval of Board in accordance with the statutes to be made in this behalf the words "He shall be appointed by the State Government", shall be substituted.
Section 3 - Amendment of Section 19
In Section 19 of the Principal Adhiniyam, for the words "He shall be appointed by the Vice-chancellor in accordance with the statutes to be made in this behalf the words "He shall be appointed by the State Government", shall be substituted.
Section 4 - Amendment of Section 21
In section 21 of the Principal Adhiniyam, following proviso shall be inserted namely:--
"Provided that such posts which in the sanctioned set-up of Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidhyalaya are to be filled on deputation will be filled up by the State Government." |
