An Act further to amend the Karnataka Land Reforms Act, 1961.
Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Karnataka Land Reforms Act, 1961 (Karnataka Act 10 of 1962) for the purposes hereinafter appearing;
Be it enacted by the Karnataka State Legislature in the Fifty second year of the Republic of India as follows:-
1. Short title and commencements.
(1) This Act may be
called the Karnataka Land Reforms (Amendment) Act, 2001.
(2) It shall come into force on such (This Act come into force on the 27th August 2001, vide Notification No. RD 23 LRA 2001)[date] as the State Government may, by notification, appoint.
2. Amendment of section 77A.
In section 77A of the Karnataka Land Reforms Act, 1961 (Karnataka Act 10 of 1962) in sub-section (1), the words, brackets and figures "within one year from the date of commencement of the Karnataka Land Reforms (Amendment) Act, 1997" shall be and shall be deemed always to have been omitted. |
