PREAMBLE
An Act to amend the payment of Wages Act, 1936 in its application to the State of Orissa
Whereas it is expedient to amend the Payment of Wages Act, 1936 (Act IV of 1936), in its application to the State of Orissa, in the manner hereinafter appearing:
It is hereby enacted by the Legislature of the State of Orissa in the Seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows:
Section 1 - Short title
This Act may be called the Payment of Wages (Orissa Amendment) Act, 1956.
Section 2 - Amendment of Section 7
In Clause (d) of Subsection (2) of Section 7 of the Payment of Wages Act, 1936 (Act IV of 1936), after the words "Supplied by the employer" the words "or by the State Government or by the Housing Board or agency which the State Government may notify in this behalf" shall be inserted. |
