THE REGISTRATION (ORISSA AMENDMENT) ACT, 1991

PREAMBLE
An Act further to amend the Registration Act, 1908 in its application to the State of Orissa
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Orissa in the Forty-second Year of the Republic of India, as follows.
Section 1 - Short title
This Act may be called the Registration (Orissa Amendment) Act, 1991.
Section 2 - Amendment of Section 30
In the Registration Act 16 of 1908 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), in Section 30, Sub-section (2) shall be omitted.
Section 3 - Insertion of new Section 80
In the principal Act, after Section 80, the following section shall be inserted, namely :
"80-A. Recovery of deficient registration fee as arrears of land revenue.--
If on inspection or otherwise, it is found that the fee payable under this Act in relation to any document which is registered has been sufficiently paid, the deficient fee shall, after failure to pay the same on demand within fee prescribed period, be recoverable from the person who presented such document as arrears of land revenue". |
