An Act to amend the Agriculturists’ Loans Act, 1884, in its application to the [Substituted vide Adaptation of Laws Order, 1950.][State] of Orissa for a certain purpose
Whereas it is expedient to amend the Agriculturists’ Loans Act, 1884 (XII of 1884) in its application to the [State] of Orissa, for the purpose hereinafter appearing:
It is hereby enacted as follows:
1. Short title and commencement- (1) This Act, may be called the Agriculturists’ Loans (Orissa. Amendment) Act, 1937.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
2. Amendment of Section 4 of Act XII of 1884 - In Sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Agriculturists’ Loans Act, 1884 (XII of 1884) after the words “the relief of distress”, the words “of indebtedness” shall be inserted.
3. Repeal of Madras Act, XVI of 1935.- The Agriculturists’ Loans (Madras Amendment) Act. 1935 (Madras Act, XVI of 1935) in its application to the State of Orissa is hereby repealed. |
