THE PUNJAB LOKPAL (REPEAL) ACT, 1996
[Act No. 2 of 1997]
PREAMBLE
Be it enacted by Legislature of State of Punjab in the Forty-Seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows :-
Section 1 - Short title and commencement
(1) This Act may be called the Punjab Lokpal (Repeal) Act, 1996.
(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from the 10th day of December, 1996.
Section 2 - Repealing of Punjab Act 9 of 1995
The Punjab Lokpal Act, 1995 (Punjab Act 9 of 1995) is hereby repealed.
Section 3 – Repeal
The Punjab Lokpal Act (Repeal) Ordinance, 1996 (Punjab Ordinance No. 3 of 1996) is hereby also repealed. |
