THE PUNJAB MECHANICAL VEHICLES (BRIDGE TOLLS) (REPEAL) ACT, 1976

PREAMBLE
An Act to repeal the Punjab Mechanical Vehicles (Bridge Tails) Act, 1957.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Punjab in the Twenty-seventh Year of the Republic of India, as follows :-
Section 1 - Short title and commencement
This Act may be called the Punjab Mechanical Vehicles (Bridge Tolls) (Repeal) Act, 1976.
Section 2 - Repeal of Punjab Act 1 of 1958
The Punjab Mechanical Vehicles (Bridge Tolls) Act, 1957, is hereby repealed. Provided that such repeal shall not affect –
(a) the previous operation of the Act so repealed or anything duly done or suffered there under; or
(b) any obligation or liability accrued or incurred under the Act so repealed; or
(c) any penalty, forfeiture or punishment incurred in respect of any offence committed against the Act so repealed; or
(d) any legal proceeding or remedy in respect of any such obligation, liability, penalty, forfeiture or punishment as aforesaid;
and any such legal proceeding or remedy may be continued or enforced and any such penalty, forfeiture or punishment may be imposed as if this Act had not been passed. |
