Act No.19/2008 TAMIL NADU CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETIES (SECOND AMENDMENT) ACT, 2008 (Received the Assent of the Governor of Tamil Nadu on May 22, 2008 — Published in Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, Extraordinary, Part IV, Section 2, Iss. No.159, page 67, dated May 23,2008). An Act further to amend the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Act, 1983. Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Tamil Nadu in the Fifty-ninth Year of the Republic of India as follows:— 1. Short title and commencement.— (1) This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies (Second Amendment) Act, 2008. (2) It shall come into force at once. 2. Amendment of Section 89.— In Section 89 of the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Act, 1983 (Tamil Nadu Act 30 of 1983) in the proviso to sub-section (1), for the expression "seven years”, the expression "seven years and six months" shall be substituted. |
