TAMIL NADU PANCHAYATS (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2012

An Act further to amend the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994.
Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Tamil Nadu in the Sixty-third Year of the Republic of India as follows;—
1. Short title and Commencement.— (1) This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu Panchayats (Amendment) Act, 2012.
(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 25th October, 2011.
2. Amendment of Section 82.– To Section 82 of the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994 (Tamil Nadu Act 21 of 1994), the following Proviso shall be added, namely:-
“Provided that the President may be paid a monthly honorarium, as may be fixed by the Government from time to time.”. |
