TAMIL NADU DISTRICT MUNICIPALITIES (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2011

An Act further to amend the Tamil Nadu Districts Municipalities Act, 1920.
Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Tamil Nadu in the Sixty-second Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
1. Short title and commencement. – (1) This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu District Municipalities (Amendment) Act, 2011.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
2. Amendment of Section 7. – In Section 7 of the Tamil Nadu District Municipalities Act, 1920 (Tamil Nadu Act 5 of 1920), in the First Proviso to sub-section (1), for the word “twenty”, the word “fifteen” shall be substituted. |
