THE KARNATAKA URBAN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITIES (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1992
KARNATAKA ACT NO.14 OF 1992
An Act further to amend the Karnataka Urban Development Authorities Act, 1987.
Whereas, it is expedient further to amend the Karnataka Urban Development Authorities Act, 1987 (Karnataka Act 34 of 1987) for the purpose hereinafter appearing.
Be it enacted by the Karnataka State Legislature in the Forty-third Year of the Republic of India as follows –
1. Short title and commencement – (1) This Act may be called the Karnataka Urban Development Authorities (Amendment) Act, 1992.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
2. Amendment of Section 3 – In Section 3 of the Karnataka Urban Development Authorities Act, 1987 (Karnataka Act 34 of 1987), in sub-section (3) -
(i) in clause (d), for the words “whole of the Urban area”, the words, “whole of the Urban area, and members of the Karnataka Legislature Council who are the permanent residents of the Urban area concerned” shall be substituted;
(ii) for clause (j), the following shall be substituted, namely –
“(j) the Commissioner of the Police or the Superintendent of Police of the District, as the case may be, having jurisdiction over the Urban area concerned. ex officio”. |
