HYDERABAD MONEY-LENDERS REGISTRATIONS AND LICENCES (VALIDATION) ACT, 1961

An Act to validate certain registrations made and licences granted under the Money-lenders Act, 1349 Fasli. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Andhra Pradesh in the Twelfth Year of the Republic of India, as follows :

Section 1 Short title

This Act may be called the Hyderabad Moneylenders Registrations and Licences (Validation) Act, 1961.

Section 2 Validation of certain registrations made and licences granted during the period between the 27th October, 1956 and the 8th April, 1959

Every registration made and every licence granted in any area under s. 3 of the Money-Lenders Act, 1349 Fasli (Hyderabad Act V of 1349 Fasli), during the period between the 27th October, 1956 and the 8th April, 1929 (both days inclusive), shall notwithstanding that it was made or granted by an officer who was not competent to make or grant the same, be deemed always to have been validity made and granted and no suit or other proceedings challenging the validity thereof shall be entertained by any Court; and any such suit or proceeding pending at the commencement of this Act shall be disposed of as if this Act had been in force at the time when such registration was made and licence granted.
