ANDHRA PRADESH (TELANGANA AREA) MONEY-LENDERS (VALIDITY OF LICENCES) ACT, 1956

An Act to remove doubts as to the validity of certain Licences issued under [the Andhra Pradesh (Telangana Area) Money-lenders Act, 1349 F.] Whereas it is expedient to remove doubts as to the validity of certain licences issued under [the Andhra Pradesh (Telangana Area) Money-lenders Act, 1349 F. (Act V of 1349 F); Be it enacted in the Seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows:

Section 1 Short title, extent and commencement

(1) This Act may be called [the Andhra Pradesh (Telangana Area) Money-lenders (Validity of Licences) Act, 1956.].

(2) It extends to [the whole of the Telangana Area of the State of Andhra Pradesh.]

(3) It shall come into force at once.

Section 2 Validity of certain licences

For the removal of doubts it is hereby enacted that every registration made and every licence issued before this Act comes into force under Andhra pradesh (Telangana Area) Money lenders Act, 1349 F. (Act V of 1349 F.) and the rules framed under the said Act, whether prospectively or retrospectively by any Talukdar, Additional Talukdar, Second Talukdar or Assistant Talukdar/Civil Administrator, Additional Civil Administrator, Deputy Civil Administrator, Assistant Civil Administrator/Collector, Additional Collector, Deputy Collector, Assistant Collector, Tahsildar or Naib Tahsildar or any other officer authorised by any of the said officers shall, notwithstanding any judgment or order to the contrary of any Court, be deemed to be and to have been made or issued by a competent authority in fall compliance with law and every such registration or licence shall be and always be deemed to be and to have been valid for any purpose whatsoever including any proceedings instituted whether before or after the commencement of this Act.

Section 3 Repeal and saving

The Hyderabad Money Lenders (Validity of Licences) Ordinances, 1956 is hereby repealed.
