THE INDUSTRIAL DISPUTES (WEST BENGAL AMENDMENT) ACT, 1980 West Bengal Act 30 of 1980 [2nd September, 1980.] Assent of the President first published in the Calcutta Gazette, Extraordinary, dated the 2nd September, 1980. An Act to amend the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, in its application to West Bengal. Whereas it is expedient to amend the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, in its application to West Bengal, for the purpose and in the manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted as follows :- 1. Short title. - This Act may be called the Industrial Disputes (West Bengal Amendment) Act, 1980. 2. Application of the Act. - The Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), shall, in its application to West Bengal, be amended in the manner hereinafter provided. 3. Amendment of section 2 of Act 14 of 1947. - In sub-clause (iv) of clause (s) of section 2 of the principal Act, for the words "five hundred", the words "one thousand" shall be substituted. |
