THE UNITED PROVINCES COURT OF WARDS (REPEAL) ACT, 1969 (U.P. Act No. 8 of 1969) An Act to repeal the United Provinces Court of Wads Act, 1912 (U.P. Act IV of 1912) and to make consequential provisions It is hereby enacted in the Twentieth Year of the Republic of India as follows : 1. Short title. - This Act may be called the United Provinces Court of Wards (Repeal) Act, 1969. 2. Repeal of U.P. Act IV of 1912 and consequential provisions. - (1) The United Provinces Court of Wards Act, 1912, is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal,- (i) in relation to any right, privilege, obligation or liability acquired, or accrued, incurred under the said Act, or to any remedy or legal proceeding in respect thereof, that may be enforced, continued or concluded by virute of the provisions of Section 6 of the United Provinces General Clauses Act, 1904 (U.P. Act I of 1904), the Board of Revenue (hereinafter called the Board), shall be, or be deemed to be substituted for the Court of Wards in all proceedings; (ii) all pending matters relating to the business of the Court of Wards shall be disposed of by the Board. 3. Delegation of power by the Board. - The Board may delegate the exercise of the powers vested in it by sub-section (2) of Section 2, or such of them as it may deem expedient, to any of its members or officers or, with the approval of the State Government, to any officer of that Government. |
