An Act to extend the Bombay Animal Contagious Diseases (Control) Act, 1948, throughout the State of Maharashtra and for that and certain other purpose further to amend that Act.
Whereas it is expedient to extend the Bombay Animal Contagious Diseases (Control) Act, 1948, throughout the State of Maharashtra, and for that and certain other purposes further to amend that Act;
It is hereby enacted in the Eleventh Year of the Republic of India as follows
1. Short title and commencement. - (1) This Act may be called the Bombay Animal Contagious Diseases (Control) (Extension and Amendment) Act, 1960.
(2) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazelle, appoint.
2. Extension of Bombay LIX of 1948. - The Bombay Animal Contagious Diseases (Control) Act, 1948, is hereby extended to that part of the State of Maharashtra to which, immediately before the commencement of this Act, it did not extend.
3. to 17. [The amendments made by sections 3-17 have been incorporated in the Bombay Animal Contagious Diseases (Control) Act, 1948],
