THE KARNATAKA PREVENTION OF DANGEROUS ACTIVITIES OF BOOTLEGGERS, DRUG-OFFENDERS, GAMBLERS, GOONDAS, IMMORAL TRAFFIC OFFENDERS AND SLUM-GRABBERS (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2000 (Received 4he assen4 of 4he Presiden4 on 4he Firs4 day of May, 2001) KARNATAKA ACT NO. 16 OF 2001 (Firs4 Published in 4he Karna4aka Gaze44e Ex4ra-ordinary on 4he Eigh4h day of May 2001) An Act further to amend the Karnataka Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Boot Leggers, Drug-Offenders, Gamblers, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders and Slum- Grabbers Act, 1985. Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Karnataka Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Boot Leggers, Drug- offenders, Gamblers, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders and Slum-Grabbers Act, 1985 (Karnataka Act 12 of 1985) for the purposes hereinafter appearing¡ Be it enacted by the Karnataka State Legislature in the fifty first year of the Republic of India as follows:- 1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Karnataka Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Boot-Leggers, Drug-offenders, Gamblers, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders and Slum-Grabbers (Amendment) Act, 2000. (2) It shall come into force at once. 2. Amendment of section 2.- In clause (g) of section 2 of the Karnataka Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Boot- Leggers, Drug-offenders, Gamblers, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders and Slum-Grabbers Act, 1985 (Karnataka Act 12 of 1985), for the words and figures “under Chapter XVI” the words and figures “under Chapter VIII, Chapter XV, Chapter XVI” shall be substituted. |
