THE KARNATAKA TRANSPARENCY IN PUBLIC PROCUREMENTS (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2015

An Act further to amend the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements Act, 1999. Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements
Act, 1999 (Karnataka Act 28 of 2000) for the purposes hereinafter appearing;
Be it enacted by the Karnataka State Legislature in the Sixty sixth year of the Republic of India as follows:-
1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements (Amendment) Act, 2015.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
2. Amendment of section 4.- In the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements Act, 1999 (Karnataka Act 28 of 2000), in section 4, after sub-section (ee), the following shall be inserted, namely:-
"(eee) Where the procurement is by the procurement entity receiving grant from the consolidated fund of the state, in case of Infrastructure works of electrification of drinking water schemes the value of which does not exceed rupees five lakhs;"
