THE KARNATAKA INDUSTRIES (FACILITATION) (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2015

An Act further to amend the Karnataka Industries (facilitation) Act, 2002.
Whereas it is expedient to amend the Karnataka Industries (facilitation) Act, 2002 (Karnataka Act 45 of 2003) for the purposes hereinafter appearing;
Be it enacted by the Karnataka State Legislature in the Sixty-sixth year of the Republic of India, as follows:-
1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Karnataka Industries (Facilitation) (Amendment) Act, 2015.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
2. Amendment of section 3.- In the Karnataka Industries (Facilitation) Act, 2002 (Karnataka Act 45 of 2003) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act,) in section 3,-
(i) in sub-section (1), after the words "State High Level Clearance Committee" the words "under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister" shall be inserted; and
(ii) in sub-section (2), for the words "one hundred crores" the words "five hundred crores" shall be substituted.
3. Amendment of section 6.- In section 6 of the principal Act ,-
(i) in sub-section (1), after the words "State Level Single Window Clearance Committee" the words "under the chairmanship of the Minister incharge of major and medium industries" shall be inserted; and
(ii) in sub-section (2), for the words "one hundred crores" the words "five hundred crores" shall be substituted.
